Don joined the McCrate, DeLaet & Co in 1978 as an accounting and auditing partner and today is also a wealth management advisor. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of CPAs. He passed the FINRA Series 7 and 66 exams, as well as the Ohio Life & Health Insurance exam. Don specializes in personal financial planning, construction industry, non-profit organizations, technology applications, employee benefit plans, and accounting and auditing standards. He received his Bachelor of Arts in accounting and finance in 1978 from Miami University of Ohio. In previous years, Don served as the treasurer and director of the Sidney/Shelby County Chamber of Commerce, president of the Sidney/Shelby County YMCA and president and trustee of Wilson Memorial Hospital. Don looks at his role toward his clients as one of a counselor who provides guidance on financial and tax matters, and he works with his clients to help them achieve financial independence, offering them an improved process of planning for life’s critical financial events. Don lives in Sidney with his wife, Bev; their three children, Lauren, Ryan and Christian; and their dog and two cats. He enjoys cycling, playing racquetball, golfing and snow skiing.

Dave’s career with McCrate, DeLaet & Company began in 1989. As a tax partner and certified public accountant, Dave specializes in tax services. He is also a financial advisor at United Planners and has passed the FINRA Series 7 and 66 exams and the Ohio insurance exam. His comprehensive experience and knowledge allow him to advise clients effectively on the entire scope of their financial situations, including estate planning and financial services. He has a deep understanding of how to help clients make tax-optimized decisions about their retirements, estate planning, investments and insurance situations.
Dave graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor in Business Administration in accounting and finance. He is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Ohio Society of CPAs. As an active member of the community, Dave serves as treasurer of Connection Point Church of God and former chair of the Finance Committee for Dorothy Love Retirement Community.
Dave and his wife, Cheryl, live in Sidney, where they enjoy bicycling, motorcycling and spending time with their family, which includes their three grown children.
Sarah Stammen CPA

Sarah is a partner at McCrate, DeLaet & Company. She started as a staff member of the firm in 2006 and has continued with a passion to help her clients. She is responsible for preparing and reviewing returns and financial statements, directing the firm's tax preparation process. Sarah is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Ohio Society of CPAs, focusing on their tax and small business sections. Sarah is also a financial advisor and has passed the FINRA Series 7 and 66 exams. Sarah participates in Women in Leadership of West Central Ohio and is a member of the Sidney Rotary Club. She is the co-chair for Ft. Recovery Combined Charity. Sarah specializes in the agriculture industry and taxation for individuals, partnerships, corporations, gifting, and QuickBooks. She earned a master’s in accounting with a taxation specialization and a bachelor’s in business administration with a specialization in accounting, both from Bowling Green State University. She enjoys spending time with her family, walking and reading. She lives on a farm near Fort Recovery with her husband, Tim, and they have three children—Charlie, Kaitlyn and Kent.
Mark Hoge CPA, CVA

Mark joined McCrate, DeLaet & Company in 2010 with six years of prior experience at a large multinational accounting firm. Mark specializes in taxation (corporate, partnership, individual, and estate), business valuations, wealth management planning, and other business consulting services. Mark holds the CVA credential (Certified Valuation Analyst) and has performed business valuations for purposes including estate and gift taxation, marital dissolution, mergers and acquisitions, and purchase price allocations.
He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Ohio Society of CPAs and the National Association of Certified Valuators & Analysts. He serves his community as a board member for S&H Products and the New Knoxville Ranger Athletic Boosters.
Mark attended the University of Cincinnati and received his Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and his master’s in taxation. In addition to the CPA and CVA credentials, he passed the FINRA Series 7 and 66 exams, as well as the Ohio Life & Health Insurance exam.
Mark lives in New Knoxville with his wife Kristy and their three children. Outside of work he enjoys sports, golfing, and family time.

Kevin graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting & Finance. Specializations include corporate and individual taxation. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and has also passed the FINRA series 7 and 66. Brad joined McCrate, DeLaet & Company in 2018 as a full-time Wealth Management Advisor after having spent the past 11 years as a financial advisor with a Fortune 500 company. He specializes in investment portfolio management and design, insurance and risk management, retirement planning, and business retirement plans (401k, Simple, SEP IRAs). He has a passion for the investment world and enjoys analyzing investment trends, market cycles, and current economic news.
Brad graduated in 2005 from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and a minor in Business Entrepreneurship. He has passed the FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 exams, and holds his Ohio Life & Health insurance license.
Brad is an active member of his community. He is currently serving as president of the New Knoxville Ranger Athletic Boosters, and vice president of the New Knoxville Youth Baseball board. He has also served as a member of his church board and past president of West Central Ohio NAIFA.
Brad lives in New Knoxville with his wife Krista and their three children Connor, Caleb, and Courtney. He enjoys golfing, reading, and spending time with his family and friends in his spare time.

Marisa Kremer CPA
Marisa joined McCrate, DeLaet, & Company in 2020 with experience in both industry accounting and public accounting. She specializes in business and individual taxation. Marisa graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, Business Pre-Law, and Finance. She obtained her Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University – Shreveport. Marisa is a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs. She resides in Maria Stein with her husband Mitch and son Wade. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading, and spending time outdoors.

His interests include volunteering in the construction of Redskin Memorial Park, softball, golf, deer hunting, and helping out on his family's farm.

Kenzie joined McCrate, DeLaet & Company in 2021. She graduated from Wheeling University with her Bachelor of Science, double majoring in Accounting and Business Administration. While at Wheeling, she was a member of the volleyball team. Kenzie continued her education at Wheeling to receive her Master of Business Administration in 2021. She is from New Knoxville, Ohio. Kaitlyn joined McCrate, DeLaet, & Company in 2021. She graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2019 with her Bachelors of Science in Accounting. She later completed her Master of Accountancy in 2020, also at Bowling Green. Kaitlyn is a member of the Ohio Society of CPA’s. She resides in Wapakoneta. In her free time, she enjoys reading, golfing, and watching the Cincinnati Bengals.

Rachel joined McCrate, DeLaet & Company in 2022 with previous public accounting experience. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting. She resides in New Knoxville, Ohio. She serves her community as a board member for the New Knoxville Ranger Athletic Boosters and as an assistant coach for New Knoxville’s high school volleyball team. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns.
John Dirksen
John joined McCrate, DeLaet & Company in 2022. He serves on the team as a staff accountant. He primarily works in tax, where he specializes in preparing returns for individuals, farmers, and partnerships. John graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor’s in Economics and a minor in accountancy and theology in 2022. At Notre Dame, John was also a member of the football team. He currently lives in Maria Stein, Ohio with his wife Kara, son Michael and daughter Abigail. John enjoys spending time with his family and friends, staying busy, and watching the Irish play on Saturdays.

Amy joined the team at McCrate, DeLaet & Company in 2022 with a year of prior public accounting experience as well as an audit internship. She graduated from University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. Her specialties include preparing corporate, partnership and individual tax returns, payroll, and audits. She resides in New Bremen, Ohio with her husband, Matt. In her spare time, Amy enjoys reading, golfing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Brenda Barhorst
Brenda joined McCrate, DeLaet & Company in 2018 after having 19 years experience in the accounting field. She attended Houston High School and Upper Valley J.V.S. in addition to Edison and Ashworth colleges. She is a member of the Shelby County Relay For Life Event Leadership Team as well as an avid supporter of the American Cancer Society. Brenda resides in Minster with her husband, Aaron, as well as two children, Drew and Brielle. She enjoys traveling (anywhere with a beach), THE Ohio State University, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Alice A. Berning
Alice joined McCrate, DeLaet & Company in 1987 with four years of previous accounting experience. Alice specializes in bookkeeping, write-ups, payroll, individual taxation, and QuickBooks. Alice lives in Sidney with her husband, Patrick, and together they have three children: Jill, Lora and Keith.
Janie Willis
Janie joined McCrate, DeLaet & Co. in 2003 as a secretary and financial services assistant. She has an Associates Degree in Applied Business & Office Administration from Edison Community College. She has made a career in administrative support with over 25 years experience in the field. She is a Notary Public for the State of Ohio.
Janie lives in Sidney, OH with her husband, Chad, and their two ragdoll cats. She loves cats and enjoys participating in car shows and Camaro club events, watching football, cooking and trying new recipes. She also collects stamps, adding to a collection her grandmother and father started over 50 years ago.
Connie Caudill
Connie joined McCrate, DeLaet & Company in 2016 with over 25 years experience in medical offices. She graduated from Fairlawn High School and Upper Valley J.V.S. Connie resides in Sidney, Oh with her husband James. They have two adult children. She loves spending time with family, watching movies, and playing with their two dogs. When you see Connie around the office, she is always brightening the mood with her contagious smile!
Tom Kueterman
Tom joined McCrate in 2018 as the IT Specialist. He spent 21 years in Norwalk, OH while serving as a business director for multiple organizations. Tom received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Dayton. He lives in Celina, OH with his wife Melanie and their dog Benny. Their son Andrew is attending college. Tom enjoys woodworking, fishing, and boating.
